Poland to send first warplane to Ukraine as a NATO member country

Poland announced to send 4 warplanes to Ukraine as the first NATO member country.  The country also promised to send 12 more fighter jets later. 

Polish President Andrzej Duda said four MiG 29-S fighter jets are being sent initially at the request of the Ukrainian government.  He said this at a joint press conference with the President of the Czech Republic Peter Pavel.  He also said that the rest of the warplanes will be sent after the necessary tests are completed.
