The Resistance Front (TRF), a branch of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba with headquarters in Pakistan, as well as all of its guises and front groups, have been proscribed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). They have been designated as terrorist organizations by the ministry by the 1967 Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

The TRF’s operations are harmful to India’s national security and sovereignty, according to a notification from the MHA that issued the announcement. The Resistance Front (TRF), according to a notification from the ministry, is enlisting young people online to promote terrorist operations, recruiting terrorists, infiltrating terrorist groups, and transporting weapons and drugs into Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistan.
Sheikh Sajjad Gul, a commander of the TRF, was also classified by the MHA through the notification as a terrorist under the fourth category of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act of 1967.
Notification of Ministry of Home Affairs
In the notification, MHA stated that “TRF is also engaged in psychological operations on social media platforms for motivating people of Jammu and Kashmir to join terrorist organizations against the Indian state.”
The MHA added that numerous cases have been filed against TRF members and associates for planning to kill security force members and innocent civilians in Jammu and Kashmir, coordinating the transportation of weapons to support terrorist organizations that have been declared illegal, conducting terror attacks on security forces, and killing innocent people.
TRF is Now a Terrorist Organisation
The notification stated that the MHA had exercised the authority granted to it by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 35 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, and had designated “The Resistance Front” as a terrorist organization because the Central Government believes it is involved in terrorism and that it has committed and participated in numerous acts of terrorism in India.
Abu Khubaib is now a Terrorist under UAPA
Mohammed Amin, alias Abu Khubaib, a resident of Pakistan but a native of Jammu and Kashmir, was also labelled a terrorist by the authorities. He is functioning in the capacity of Lashkar-e-launching Taiba’s commander, has forged close contacts with international organizations, and is playing a crucial role in reviving and accelerating LeT’s terrorist activities in the Jammu region of Jammu and Kashmir.
Khubaib has worked to plan terrorist operations, provide weapons or weapons and explosives, and finance terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir from outside the country. According to another notification, the government identified Khubaib as a specific terrorist under the UAPA for all of his terrorist acts.
