More smart home features will allegedly be added to Galaxy Watch devices, according to Samsung. On their smartwatch, users will have access to live feeds from Ring and Nest cameras. Owners of Ring cameras may also use the two-way intercom capability of their Galaxy Watch. Samsung first added Nest connection to the SmartThings network in early 2021.
Users will soon be able to control a wider variety of items from their wrist, including smart air purifiers, thermostats, and blinds. This increases the usefulness of the Galaxy Watch for TVs, air conditioners, lighting, and other gadgets.
Customers won’t need to launch the SmartThings app any longer to manage their smart home devices, according to Samsung. From the watch face, they can swipe right to access those features. The company did not specify a definite release date, but on February 1, we might learn more at Unpacked.
