India won the first match of Border Gavaskar trophy 

India has shown its dominance in the whole world by winning the first match against Australia and also said that it is very difficult to beat India in India.  India has made the grounds of its country it’s fort which no one can penetrate.

Rohit Sharma is the highest run scorer(120) in the test match and Ravindra Jadeja shows his allround performance. Jadeja took 7 wickets and scored important 70 runs. 

Ravi Ashwin took 8 wickets and scored 23 runs at no.3. Every Australian batsman feared facing Ravichandran Ashwin and the Australian team also arranged a bowler to practice in nets who bowls like Ashwin.

Rohit Sharma became the first captain of India who scored a century in all three formats. no one has done it before. He scored 2 T20 centuries, 3 ODI centuries and one test century under his captaincy.

All Australian batter looked battered in front of India’s spin bowling. Indian pacers send Australian opening pair in the first inning of first test match.

All these events resulted in the end of the test match in just 3 days, a very humiliating start for the Aussies in the BGT. 

Pitch Game: The old story

Aussies have started beating around the bush by blaming the pitch for their defeat, according to them the pitch was made just for Indian bowlers and that is why Indian bowlers dominated the game. 

It is not the first time that Australia or any other team has questioned the quality of Indian pitches but the irony is that they themselves prepare pitches according to their advantages and give unnecessary lectures to us. 

The Controversy

BGT and controversy are two faces of one coin, there has not been even a single BGT without any controversy and the trend continued even in this series. 

India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja found himself in trouble after he was found applying ointments on his finger without taking Umpire’s permission for it. As a result he was fined for it and was asked to submit his 25% of match fees as a penalty for committing the offense. 

So far no reaction has come from Jadeja on this issue but the Indian cricket team fans are expressing their fury on Social media. Some users criticized Cricket Australia for exaggerating the issue while some users also blamed Jadeja for being too careless. 

The Future 

Rohit Sharma is back to form, Jadeja is firing with the ball, Ashwin is consistent and team India is giving many chances to the youth. 

Everyone had expected that Pant’s absence would cost Team India very much but that didn’t make any difference, and as the top order is in command it is very good news for the upcoming World Test Championship. 

Conclusion

We are just 2 steps away from qualifying into the WTC finals, we just need to win 2 matches or win 1 match and draw the other one to qualify. 

This will boost the moral of our Indian cricketers and it will become very easy to win the prestigious title
