Chandrayaan 3 roars towards his success, ISRO milestone

Chandrayan took off on 14 July,2023 at 2.35 pm, achieving one of major milestone of India.

A journey that kicked off with a small rocket on the back of a bicycle, APJ Abdul Kalam and Vikram Sarabhai with a vision to grow and develop to what it has reached out now.

Times is presenting evidence of India’s groundbreaking achievement as it sets its sights on launching its inaugural satellite and reaches a major milestone with the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3 on July 14, 2023.

What is Chandrayaan 3?

Chandrayaan 3 is the moon milestone of the Indian space research organisation (ISRO).
It is the launch of a lunar mission to explore the moon by making a soft landing other on a natural satellite of Earth.
It is been the third lunar mission to discover the boundaries of innovation after Chandrayaan 1 and 2.

Motives behind the Mission

The satellite’s basic notion is to land safely on the surface of the moon and conducts different operations, surveys and site experiments.The Chandrayaan-3 mission’s objective is to develop and demonstrate new technologies that are required for inter-planetary missions in future

The launch successfully took place on 14 July, 023 at 2.35 pm and the lunar injection of 100 km of the circular orbit was completed as part of phase one.

Who was heading Chandrayaan 3?

This mission is headed by India’s rocket woman, Ritu Karidhal Shrivastava, the same woman behind the success of the Mangalyan Mission also named MARS ORBITER MISSION [MOM],was space probe orbiting Mars was launched on 5 November 2013

Her leadership and immense contribution to ISRO’s major project, which is why she is called Rocket Women of India.

Hailing from launch, PM tweeted ” Chandrayaan-3 scripts a new chapter in India’s space odyssey. It soars high, elevating the dreams and ambitions of every Indian… This momentous achievement is a testament to our scientists’ relentless dedication. I salute their spirit and ingenuity”

The ISRO chairman concluded his remarks by giving a happy end , stating the satellite would land as per planning on 23 August at 5.37 pm , if everything goes per plan

Thousands of spectators who gathered at the space center to witnessed the historic moment cheeered in happiness after the rocket launch. If this mission is successful , India will become the fourth country to achieve this fete after US,China , former Soviet Union.
