As the number of single-day COVID-19 cases in Delhi surpassed 300 for the first time in six months on Wednesday, Arvind Kejriwal’s administration convened an emergency meeting today to address the situation.

According to data provided by the city health department, the number of single-day COVID-19 cases in Delhi increased to 300 on Wednesday for the first time since August 31 last year, and the positivity rate increased to 13.89%.

On the instruction of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj convened the gathering.

The number of new COVID cases in Delhi has risen dramatically in recent days, coinciding with an increase in the number of H3N2 influenza cases in the nation. In Delhi, the number of everyday cases has been decreasing in recent months. It had reached zero on January 16, the first occasion since the pandemic began.
