It is believed that the Sindhi community took birth 5 lakh years ago in stone age. But the actual evidence of Sindhi’s we have is from 5000 years ago in the Indus Valley civilization, so here I’m going to discuss some interesting facts about the community.
In the annual report of 1921–22 on the archaeological survey of India, the word Mohenjo-Daro is a Sindi name that meant mount of death. In some evidence of seals and coins that were used as currency, we get swastika and shiv, which means Sindhis were experts at craving stones, well educated, and also followers of Vedic dharma. Sindhis were good architects who also developed their homes with proper drainage systems. They used to wear jewellery and turbans or headgear.
George F. Dales wrote in his book, “Civilization and Floods in the Indus Valley,” that the Sindhis were after the vanishing of civilization in the flood, not in one or two instances but seven times.
