Cinema
Technically, the word itself derives from the ancient Greek, kinema, meaning movement. Historically, it’s a shortened version of French cinematography, an invention of two brothers, Auguste and Louis Lumiere, that combined kinema with another Greek root, graphein, meaning to write or record. But cinema is much more than the intersection of art and technology.
It is, more importantly, a powerful medium of communication. Like language itself, cinema is a surrounding and enveloping substance that carries with it what it means to be human in a specific time and place.
That is to say, it mediates our experience of the world, helps us make sense of things, and in doing so, often helps shape the world itself. It’s why we often find ourselves confronted by some extraordinary event and find the only way to describe it is: “It was like a movie.”

Conclusion
Cinema carries with it a certain mystique as well as being an ongoing, collaborative social experiment in which we are all participants. We all know it’s an illusion, just like in any decent magic show.
We are all aware that no magician in the world can truly make anything float or cut someone in half. All of it is a trick. a trick used to keep the illusion alive. But we’ve all decided to fall for our own tricks.
The same is true of film. A century’s worth of trickery has been used to deceive a group of people who have known all along. These will be the best movies to laugh together and make this moment of your life a comedy time to enjoy with family and friends.
