Though Pakistan had been a victim of terrorist attacks since its independence still it was remaining peaceful for the past few months. The fortune of Pakistan changed in a bit of a cinch since November after TTP ended the months-long ceasefire with the Pak army.

What is the TTP?

Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan or TTP is a terrorist organization that was formed in the year 2007 to fight against NATO and US forces who were killing militants in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

TTP vows to establish radical Islamic rule in the country and wants to replace the Pakistani constitution with the Orthodox Sharia law.

The TTP has a similar modus operandi to Afghanistan Taliban and hence they share a good relationship with it.

The Previous Attacks

TTP frequently does terrorist attacks in Pakistan and kills hundreds of people.

The most heinous terror attack conducted by TTP was in 2014 when the terrorists attacked an army school and killed more than 150 children.

The Solution

TTP and Pakistan are always involved in armed conflicts, Pak army often carries out operations to eliminate terrorists but the real problem is that it is the Pak only who promotes terrorism, Pakistan’s ISI funds terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahidin.

This practice will lead to the downfall of Pak only, it will also deteriorate the image of Pak globally. The world knows that if they find Pakistan to combat TTP, it will use those funds in promoting terrorism and Anti-India activities only.

So the real solution that Pakistan needs to implement is to take serious counter-terrorism measures. It should ban all the terrorist organizations in the country. Pak should also spend more budget on education and should demote religious orthodoxy in their society.
