Everything You Need to Know About the Launch of the New Tata Harrier Red Dark Edition

Tata Motors has launched all new Red Dark editions of the Harrier in India. Numerous new features, like a larger touchscreen with connected car technology and more sophisticated driver assistance systems (ADAS), are added with a starting price of  Rs 21.77 lakh, ex-showroom.

The updated features for this SUV include a sizable 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, and improved safety features.

The SUV offers six airbags, ISOFIX, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, an enhanced ESP with 17 functions, a 360-degree parking camera, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), which include forward collision warning, rear collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot detection, traffic sign recognition, door open alert, lane departure warning, lane change alert, and high beam assist.

Although the company’s entire SUV lineup is now BS6 phase-2 and E20 compliant, the mechanical specifications of the Harrier Red Dark edition remain unaltered. It is propelled by a 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine that produces a maximum torque of 350 Nm and 170 bhp. An automatic transmission with a torque converter and a 6-speed manual gearbox are both included with the engine.

The updated Tata Harrier is available for purchase at a rate of Rs 14.99 lakh, while the limited-edition Red Dark model will cost as much as Rs 21.77 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). This SUV comes with a standard 3-year/1-lakh-mile warranty from Tata Motors. The Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Kia Seltos, and other vehicles are competitors of the Tata Harrier.

Interior

The interior of the Harrier Red Dark edition is decorated in Carnelian Red and Benecke Kaliko upholstery with diamond-shaped quilting. and finished in Oberon Black. The #Dark mascot is featured on the headrest to emphasise the Dark theme, and the dashboard is finished in black steel.

The SUV also has a ventilated driver and passenger seat, a six-way powered driver seat with three custom memory settings and a welcome function. Other features include a a seven-inch digital TFT instrument cluster, 360-degree surround view system, a 10.24-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system and a wireless charger for convenience.

Exterior

Bold Oberon Black is the colour of the exterior of the new Harrier Red Dark Edition. The fascia has a black piano grille with zircon-red accents. The 18-inch Blackstone alloy wheels with Zircon Red brakes add a contemporary touch to the side profile. The SUV also has a huge sunroof.
