Five Injured In Bihar Bomb Blast Day After Ram Navami Clashes

Five people were wounded in a bomb explosion in Bihar’s Sasaram town on Saturday evening, following the outbreak of new violence in the state. The injured were taken to a hospital, and a forensic squad was dispatched to the scene, according to officials.

“There was a bomb blast in Sasaram,” said DM Dharmendra Kumar. People who were injured were taken to BHU hospital. We’re looking into all possibilities right now.”

According to the Bihar Police, information was obtained about a bomb blast in Sasaram, Rohtas, after which the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team arrived to investigate.

“The explosion was reported at a shanty, and a scooter was recovered from the scene.” “At first glance, it does not appear to be a communal incident,” police said.

On Saturday, the police squad, Special Task Force (STF), and Para Military forces marched in Sasaram. Communal tensions in Bihar flared up again on Saturday, when two groups clashed in two different areas of the state, injuring three people with bullet wounds, according to locals

According to locals, the clashes happened in the Paharpur area of Bihar Sharif and the Khasganj locality in the Sohsarai police station area. “During the clashes in the Paharpur area, two people were shot and taken to the hospital for treatment,” Dr. Mahendra Kumar of Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital told ANI.

According to Bihar police, 45 people have been arrested in connection with clashes between groups in sections of the state following Ram Navami celebrations. This includes 18 in relation to the clash in Sasaram.

Officials urged the people not to believe rumors. “The situation is peaceful,” they continued, “and Section 144 has been imposed here.”
